By using emergencyplumbercincinnati.com, contacting us by phone or form, or engaging plumbing services through our network, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our services.
Nature of Our Service
Emergency Plumber Cincinnati operates as a referral service connecting homeowners with independent licensed plumbing contractors operating in Cincinnati, Ohio and surrounding areas. We are not the licensed contractor performing the work. The licensed plumbing contractor dispatched to your job is the party responsible for the work performed.
Contractor Independence
All plumbers in our network are independently licensed under the Ohio Construction Industry Licensing Board (OCILB) and carry their own general liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage. The contractor's licence number appears on every invoice issued. Verify any contractor's licence at license.ohio.gov.
No Guarantee of Availability or Pricing
While we maintain 24/7 dispatch and aim to provide consistent response times across Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, we do not guarantee specific response windows, contractor availability, or fixed pricing. Pricing ranges shown on the site are typical Cincinnati market ranges based on actual recent service work, but final pricing is determined by the dispatched contractor based on the specific job conditions.
Written estimates are provided before any work begins. The price quoted on a written estimate is the price you pay for the scope described. Additional work outside the original scope requires separate written approval.
User Responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information when contacting us, to make a reasonable effort to provide access to the service location, to disclose known plumbing conditions relevant to the work, and to abide by any reasonable safety instructions provided by the dispatched plumber. For active emergencies (water flowing, gas smell), you are responsible for taking reasonable mitigation steps before our arrival — primarily, shutting off the main water valve or evacuating the building if instructed.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Emergency Plumber Cincinnati is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the website or referral service. Liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service that is the subject of any claim.
The licensed contractor performing the work is responsible for that work and carries appropriate insurance. Claims related to specific plumbing work performed by a network contractor should be directed to that contractor in the first instance, with reasonable opportunity to remedy.
Warranties
Network contractors warrant their parts and labour as specified on individual invoices. Manufacturer warranties on installed parts (water heaters, sump pumps, fixtures) apply per the manufacturer's terms. We do not provide additional warranties beyond the contractor's stated warranty and applicable manufacturer warranties.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Emergency Plumber Cincinnati from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the website, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Hamilton County, Ohio.
Dispute Resolution
For any dispute arising from these Terms or the referral service, the parties agree to first attempt informal resolution by contacting [email protected]. If informal resolution fails within 30 days, either party may initiate formal proceedings in the appropriate Hamilton County court.
Modifications
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes are highlighted on the homepage for at least 30 days. Continued use after modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
